Mr.
Smith investigates roof failures where buildings have experienced wind,
hail or seismic-induced damage. He also investigates leaking roofs and
roofs that are exhibiting signs of premature roof failure.
Dispute resolution services include failure investigations and analysis, expert witness testimony, and review of documents. TLSmith is dedicated to helping clients obtain a fair and equitable settlement.
Mr. Smith provides research-related services on field-performance of roof systems and assistance in establishing laboratory evaluation of products/systems.
Design Consultation on Complex/Unusual Projects
Mr.
Smith acts as a consultant to design professionals,
contractors and manufacturers on complex and unusual projects. Services
include field evaluation of existing roofs, roof system selection recommendations,
design of details, wind load-calculations, peer review of contract documents
prior to bidding, document review for code and/or Factory Mutual compliance,
and assistance with construction contract administration (e.g., submittal
review, field observations).
